Cold nights spent under warm, soft, snuggly blankets.

A steaming cup of coffee in cold hands.

Secret little sunlit spot in the garden to read a book.

Soft cotton sundress after a summer day at the beach.

Long cool drink on a hot day.

I like to think of being cosy in any season, any time of the year.

Being cosy need not be reserved for winter only!

Being cosy brings desirable feelings to our hearts and minds. We can feel safe and secure, warm and snug, tucked away from the world in a private little haven.

Textures, sights, sounds, and tastes, can all bring on feelings of cosiness. A comfortable chair, a crackling fire, our favourite comfort meal enjoyed at a candlelit table, gentle music playing softly in the background.

Sentimental items can also evoke a sense of cosiness — such as treasured books from our childhood, photographs of loved ones, scented candles and aromatherapy oils featuring our favourite scents.

Flipping through photograph albums of past travels, reading journal entries of joyous events, a favourite book of poetry.

Inhaling the fragrance of a delicious aromatic herbal tea whilst steam rises to our faces from a cherished mug.

For me, being cosy brings out my inner child. A box of waxy crayons, coloured pencils and paints, a colouring-in book, a sunlit desk to sit at whilst I colour — heaven!

“Cosy” is defined as pleasant, comfortable, warm and snug, safe and secure.

Feeling cosy brings joy, instantly aligning us with our Divine selves.

We are relaxed, stress begins to leave our weary minds and bodies, and we can breathe more deeply and gently.

What happens when we are relaxed?

We open up to receive.

We are no longer harbouring any emotional barriers to the Divine connection, as we already feel safe and protected.

The Divine can then connect directly to us — allowing creativity to flow, inspiration to hit, self-awareness and self-love to flourish.

When we feel cosy, we recognise what brings us joy and comfort. This can lead to us doing more of what feels good for us and living more authentically and what was always meant for us — to live in abundance and joy.

So, as you can see, a snuggly blanket is not just a snuggly blanket — it is an opening to a more Divinely led life!
